Day 1:  San José
Costa Rica is located in a geographical area that allows the feeling of a warm climate where you can enjoy a wealth of outdoor activities. You can discover the great hospitality that characterizes this small tropical paradise in the smiles of the people in the warm sea breeze or in light drizzle in the rainforest. A representative from our company will be waiting at the Juan Santamaría International Airport. Overnight in San José. Breakfast included.

Day 2: San Jose/ Walking Tour
After a night’s rest, a typical breakfast of Costa Rica will be waiting at the hotel restaurant. After that, the bilingual guide will arrive to the hotel to start the walking tour in San José City. In this walk you will visit the National Museum, where the guide will explain and show you how lived our ancestors and how was changing their life style. Continue walking to the Jade Museum, you will see a sample of our gemstones. After that you will continue to the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum. It has an extraordinary collection of gold objects that reflect the world view, social structure and gold-working techniques of the PreColumbian people of Costa Rica. The exhibition showcases the use and function of the pieces, the technology of their fabrication, and their relationship to the natural world and the daily life of these societies. The collection consists of 1600 pieces of Pre-Columbian gold work that date from 500 AD to 1500 AD. Next stop will be the National Theater. This building is considered the finest historic building in the capital, and it is known for its exquisite interior which includes its lavish furnishings. As well as having performances several times a week, the theatre is a tourist attraction. Finally you will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, Post office and the Central Market to finish with a real cultural experience. Overnight in San José. Breakfast included.

Day 3: San José – Tortuguero
In the morning the guide and transportation will be waiting to bring
you to the next destination: Tortuguero is one of Costa Rica’s most popular ecotourism destinations. The canals, rivers, beaches and lagoons of Tortuguero National Park are a study of rainforest, freshwater and marine biology. The park and small town of Tortuguero are accessible by boat or by small aircraft. When people think of rainforest, the first thing that automatically comes to their minds is Tortuguero. Overnight in Tortuguero. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

Day 4: Tortuguero/ National Park Tour
Early in the morning starts the tour at Tortuguero National Park, which is a stop while you are in Costa Rica. Discover its network of canals, lagoons and dense rainforest and see the turtles hatch. It is a truly relaxing experience to tour the canals (it’s only possible by boat) and take in the exquisite green of the incredible tropical vegetation, reflected in liquid mirrors everywhere. One such looking glass is Caño Palma, which links Penitencia Lagoon in Tortuguero with
Samay Lagoon in Barra del Colorado. This stunningly beautiful canal is named after the abundance of yolillo palms found all around. Tortuguero National Park forms an extensive floodplain made up of highly scenic, interconnected canals, waterways and lagoons. One of the rainiest areas in the country (5,000 to 6,000 millimeters per year), this region is rich in biodiversity.These factors allow visitors to this extensive network of waterways the opportunity to tour and explore this marvelous world—unique for its peacefulness and natural luxuriance.

Day 5: Tortuguero – Sarapiquí
Morning, breakfast and then you will prepare for the departure of this stunning area, to move to a new destination, Sarapiqui.  It is your gateway into a magical world of towering Almendro trees, Mantled Howler Monkeys, and Keel Billed Toucans. Immerse yourself in tropical nature as you hike through deep green forest or reflect quietly in a comfortable hammock. This area is recognized as one of the most abundant bird, excellent for observation. Overnight in Sarapiqui. Breakfast included.

Day 6: Sarapiquí
Enjoy and learn about the area. Cultural Tour at “Centro Neotropico
SarapiquiS” . The Archaeological Park “Alma Ata” at CNS is the first archaeological park of its kind in Costa Rica. The Park is set in the beautiful orange orchard of Centro Neotrópico SarapiquíS, where in October 1999; an extensive Pre-Columbian tomb field of at least 600 years old has been discovered. The Park has been developed in close coordination with the National Museum of Costa Rica.

Day 7: Sarapiquí – Arenal
During the morning you will move to the renowned town of Fortuna, in the
northern zone of Costa Rica. The Arenal Volcano was one of the world’s most active volcanoes. It attracts thousands of visitors every year. Combined with the amazing views, the Lake of Arenal, the many hot springs and other adventure facilities in the area, the area is one of the most visited tourist regions in Costa Rica. The variety of nature or adventure tours, but the hot springs is also highly popular. Overnight in Arenal. Breakfast included.

Day 9: Arenal – Guanacaste/ Tamarindo
Due to the reliably sunny climate, the pleasantly dry weather brings plane loads of sun starved northerners to the North Pacific area of Costa Rica every winter. Also, the windswept coastlines make Guanacaste popular for surfers who are eager to relive the legendary “Endless Summer” of the sport’s early years.  An abundance of marine life and stellar diving spots also lure fishers and underwater fans. Add in some stunningly scenic national parks and a range of thrilling outdoor adventures, and you have all the ingredients that make Guanacaste an all around spot to experience Costa Rica’s charm. Although most tourists head here for the dry, “high” season, it’s even more beautiful, cheap, cool, and less crowded in the green or low season from April to December. The transportation is provided from Monteverde to Tamarindo.

Day 10: Guanacaste/ Tamarindo
In Playa Tamarindo the beaches are generally clean due to recent efforts by the government and local business organizations that are working hard to maintain the natural beauty of the area. While the beach has not regained its Blue Flag Status, in September 2008, it did get a clean bill of health from the Costa Rican Government. The town is currently trying to regain its Blue Flag Status. In this beautiful beach destination, you can find many things to do in the resort or outdoors. A walk along the scenic beach is highly recommended. At the end of each summer day, gaze at an unforgettable array of colors courtesy of Tamarindo’s ocean side sunset, this can be viewed while you have a delicious dinner or enjoy a drink in the sunset Overnight in Tamarindo. Breakfast included.

Day 11: Guanacaste/ Tamarindo

Day 12: Guanacaste/ Tamarindo – San José
After lunch you will leave from the Tamarindo to San José. You will take a local flight in Tamarindo to San José. Overnight in San José. Breakfast included.

Day 13: San José
Transfer to the airport. The recommendation is to be at least 3 hours before departure of his flight home.
