In the morning, after a delicious breakfast, the guide and transportation will be waiting to take you to the next destination: Tortuguero is one of Costa Rica's most popular ecotourism destinations. The canals, rivers, beaches, and lagoons of Tortuguero National Park are a study of rainforest, freshwater, and marine biology. The park and small town of Tortuguero are accessible by boat or by small aircraft. When people think of rainforests, the first thing that automatically comes to their minds is Tortuguero. Overnight in Tortuguero. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included.
03 Day Tortuguero National Park
Early in the morning starts the tour at Tortuguero National Park, which is a stop while you are in Costa Rica. Discover its network of canals, lagoons, and dense rainforests and see the turtles’ hatch. It is a truly relaxing experience to tour the canals (it’s only possible by boat) and take in the exquisite green of the incredible tropical vegetation, reflected in liquid mirrors everywhere. One such looking glass is Caño Palma, which links Penitencia Lagoon in Tortuguero with Samay Lagoon in Barra del Colorado. This stunningly beautiful canal is named after the abundance of bolillo palms found all around. Tortuguero National Park forms an extensive floodplain made up of highly scenic, interconnected canals, waterways, and lagoons. One of the rainiest areas in the country (5,000 to 6,000 millimeters per year), this region is rich in biodiversity. These factors allow visitors to this extensive network of waterways the opportunity to tour and explore this marvelous world—unique for its peacefulness and natural luxuriance. Overnight in Tortuguero. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are included.
04 Day Tortuguero - Arenal
After breakfast, you are left by boat to Guapiles where you are waiting for transportation to the restaurant for lunch and the connection point. At this point, you will change transportation to move to the renowned town of Fortuna, in the northern zone of Costa Rica, in shared transportation.
The Arenal is one of the world's most active volcanoes. It attracts thousands of visitors every year.
